Kapologwe Waterfalls, Rungwe Mbeya

The impressive falls with spectacular views where by the river falls down some meters over the lava basalt on Kiwira Gorge, It is an interesting feature that gives a visitor chance to view the falls from top, behind into a large cave below the ledge and base of the falls Originally known as Kala falls, the name was changed by local residents where a young boy called “Kapologwe” fell into the cliff-top into the plunge pool 35 meters below. Apart from a few bruises to his forearms, he was unhurt and indeed is apparently still alive. Located at Isuba Village, Rungwe District
