It was Thursday 25/07/2019 Morning where by we organized a joint trip to the second largest crater Lake in Africa (lake Ngosi) with the African map look like shape for all students of National Collage of Tourism who are doing field practical training to different offices in Mbeya region, such offices are Mount Rungwe Nature Reserve (MRNR), UPL safaris and Uyole cultural tourism enterprise
Jesca Mgata, Mount Rungwe Nature Reserve Tourism officer gave the Geographical brief explanation on the formation of Lake Ngosi She said "Lake Ngosi is one among the most visited attractions in Mbeya region, the beautiful scenery of an African map makes it more unique and popular to the universe the Lake was formed by volcanic eruptions that occurred many years ago, it is 2.5 km long and 1.6 km wide and 74M depth also also its a home of three horned chameleon and colobus species"
We had 17 students in total where by Tanzania Forest services (3), Uyole cultural tourism enterprise (9) and UPL Safaris (5). we did a walking trip from Uyole cultural tourism enterprise office that located at uyole kati that comprise of 9Km to the crater rim, on our way we enjoyed seeing different farms with maize, Beans, Carrots, and wheat that makes Iduda wing the superb hiking Location
The main aim of the trip was to create awareness on the physical and natural features found on Mbeya region.
